President Droupadi Murmu honored Prof. Vikram Vishal, founder of UrjanovaC Pvt Ltd, with the prestigious National Geoscience Award for 2023 at the Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre in New Delhi on 20th Aug, 2024. This esteemed award recognizes outstanding contributions to the field of geoscience.

Prof. Rohit Srivastava, co-founder of Shodhsens Diagnostics and founder of EffecMed Private Limited, has been awarded the prestigious 'Rashtriya Vigyan Puraskar - Vigyan Shri' by the Government of India on 22nd Aug, 2024. This honor, presented by President Droupadi Murmu, recognizes Prof. Srivastava's outstanding contributions to science and technology in the field of innovation.

UrjanovaC Pvt Ltd, a cleantech startup, selected as a winner of ArcelorMittal's XCarb India Accelerator Programme, held on 16th July, 2024.

Dr. Rahul Purwar, founder & CEO, ImmunoACT, received the prestigious Dr. B. S. Bajaj Memorial FABA Excellence Award on August 10, 2024, for his contributions to cancer treatment and research.

In July, 2024, Ankit Mehta, Co-founder of Ideaforge, received well-deserved recognition in ET 40 Under Forty's winner list.

ArcRobotics, a healthcare startup, won the Indo-French Startup Recognition Award 2024 and HDFC Parivartan Award 2024.

Trinano Technologies, a solar energy startup, won the first prize award in the Earthlab Bootcamp Finale on Sept 29th, 2024. Earthlab bootcamp accelerator was organized by SPJMIR WISE Tech.

Pacify Medical Technologies Pvt Ltd, a medtech startup, has received approval from the Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) for their innovative spray gun product. CDSCO plays a critical role in regulating drug approvals and clinical trials, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficacy in India.

Babblebots, a HRtech startup, launched Alex, the AI Resume Wizard, to help organizations build great teams efficiently. Alex delivers a ranked list of the best candidates in seconds and uses advanced resume parsing to find hidden talent in candidates that traditional methods might miss. This significantly cuts manual review time, speeds up hiring, and lets organizations focus on growth

Bulfro, a water sustainability startup successfully installed a Flood Early Warning System (FEWS) for Pasighat Smart City in Arunachal Pradesh. This system is a lifeline for the citizens of Pasighat, ensuring their safety by sending timely alerts to the smart city control room in the event of rising water levels or potential floods at the Siang River (Brahmaputra).

Events & Workshops

SINE IITB hosted the 2nd edition of Investors Week from 23rd Sept to 27th Sept, 2024, which successfully connected innovation with investment. This premier event gathered over 50 esteemed investors and cutting-edge startups, facilitating 150+ strategic meetings.

SINE IITB and Maruti Suzuki India Limited hosted a virtual fireside chat on July 12, 2024, titled "Enhancing Customer Experience in Mobility through New Age Technology." Eminent speakers Rohan Chhatwal, Sujit Jagirdar, and Dr. Ganga S, discussed AI, micro-mobility, and IoT's transformative impact. They highlighted key factors for startup success in Maruti Suzuki's Cohort 2 Mobility Challenge: innovative technology, scalability, and founder capabilities.

SINE IITB hosted "Beyond Silicon Valley: Sharing Ideas to Support Entrepreneurship" on July 19, 2024, at IIT Bombay. Mr. Michael Goldberg shared valuable insights on Silicon Valley's ecosystem and Cleveland's innovative entrepreneurship strategies. An engaging Q&A session followed, offering practical advice and stimulating discussion.

In July, 2024, SINE IITB in association with iTIC Incubator at IITH conducted MeitY Grant Challenge Final at IIT Hyderabad. Team Vayut Autonomous Systems & Technologies Pvt. Ltd. emerged as the winner, with Stingray Robotix and VRPlaced as runners-up.

SIDBI and ISBA hosted a 3-day Capacity Building Training Program from 29th to 31st July, 2024, for Incubator CEOs/Managers in Delhi NCR. Mr. Prasad Shetty, VP, SINE IITB & Governing Board Member, ISBA, led a session on 'Deals and Financing for Incubators & Clients', sharing expertise on deal management, funding sources, and incubator sustainability.

SINE IITB participated in the launch of Boeing's BUILD 4.0 program on Aug 5, 2024, in Bengaluru. The program aims to foster innovation in aerospace, defence technology, social impact, and sustainability and invites students and start-ups to participate in the program.

SINE IITB, in collaboration with Ansys & CADFEM India, recently hosted an impactful session on Aug 8, 2024, at IITB on 'Enabling the Growth of Engineering Startups.' The event concluded with a dynamic panel discussion on 'Driving Startup Success from Ideation to Growth,' featuring industry experts sharing their knowledge and experiences.

SINE PROPEL - PROgram aimed at Promoting and developing Entrepreneurial Leadership, an online series designed to promote entrepreneurial leadership for MeitY TIDE 2.0 startups. These three-days virtual sessions from 14th to 28th Aug, 2024, were designed exclusively for MeitY-affiliated startups, providing them with invaluable insights and actionable strategies to accelerate their entrepreneurial journey. The participants represented sectors across AgriTech, AI/ ML, HealthTech, MedTech, EdTech, DeepTech, and more, ranging from POC to revenue-generating stages.

SJSOM's E-Conclave 2024, held on Aug 18, 2024, delved into "Inspiring Impact: From Startup to Success," featured keynote speaker Mr. Shaji Varghese, CEO of SINE IITB. He shared valuable insights during a fireside chat, empowering the next generation of entrepreneurs.

SINE IITB participated in E-Cell's PG Orientation Program on Aug 23, 2024. Prof. Santosh Gharpure and CEO Shaji Varghese delivered keynote addresses, sharing insights on SINE's mission to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, and highlighting available resources and opportunities.

Dr. Pranita Phatak and team from SINE IITB visited A.C. Patil College of Engineering, Navi Mumbai, on Aug 23, 2024, to inspire future innovators. They shared insights on IIT Bombay's ecosystem, schemes, and programs supporting startup growth, and presented case studies to foster creative thinking.

Ms. Rashmi Mahajani, VP of Incubation & Programs at SINE IITB, spoke at IIT Bombay's Electrical Engineering department event on Aug 31, 2024, titled "Converting Research Projects into Deep Tech Ventures." She presented SINE's ecosystem, programs, and initiatives, offering insights on transforming research into successful deep tech ventures.

On Sept 5, 2024, SINE IITB hosted an awareness session on the Boeing BUILD 4.0 challenge. Aparna Anand highlighted SINE's role as regional gateway for Maharashtra and Goa. Experts Brinda Rajan, Ashwin Kempaiah, and BUILD 3.0 winner Parikshit Sohoni shared valuable insights on the innovation challenge.

The Department of Science and Technology (DST) celebrated the 8-year milestone of its NIDHI program on Sept 6, 2024, hosted by IIT Delhi, through the "DST's Startup Utsav" event - NIDHI IMPACT @8. This event showcased the significant impact of DST's NIDHI initiatives on India's thriving startup ecosystem

On Sept 12, 2024, SINE IITB hosted Prof. Yoichi Ito, Dean of Entrepreneurship at Musashino University, Japan, and Prof. Tatsuya Tsubuki, along with students. They shared insights on Japan's entrepreneurship ecosystem and discussed potential collaborations between Japan and India.

SINE IITB has participated in the Global Bio India 2024 - held from 12th to 14th Sept, 2024, it is a unique business networking platform for India's biotech R&D innovation and bio-manufacturing ecosystem and international stakeholders. Global Bio - India 2024 showcased India's Biotech growth and opportunities to the world.
